FUN FOX FACTS:
The original plan was to shoot "The Disgruntled Thief" on MiniDV with Allison Leadley from "The Living Impaired" as the store closer. Fox decided to shoot the movie on Super 8 in order to create a 1970s look to the film and ommitted the only line of dialogue which was simply the F-word in order to make it a completely silent movie. Leadley was unable to do the film and so Fox casted ACTRA member Amy Kerr, turning the project into a union shoot which then allowed Joey Campbell to join the union.
A rough cut of "The Disgruntled Thief" screened at the June 2005 premiere of "The Living Impaired" and then a recut of the short screened at the Halifax Student Film Festival the following November.
"The Disgruntled Thief" was rejected by the Atlantic Film Festival in 2005.
